Summer of 62 – The Hayling Billy

Painted from a memory of one of those Classic “Sunny South Sunsets” On Holiday in 1962.. At the time we lived in Hounslow, Middlesex. And we used to enjoy Caravan holidays on one of the Hayling campsites! I think it was the Wentworth?? In this view, I was standing on the road bridge, with Mum and Dad, with my older brother.. As we stopped to watch the ‘Billy’ cross the bridge, heading north for Havant.. I titled the painting “Summer of 62” which I did in 2010… Is it really nearly 50 years since the lines been gone!!
