Suggest the Fratton cleaners were a little lax that morning when they got to the smokebox numberplate, and the engine pictured is more likely to be 32678 (LBSCR 78 ‘Knowle’/Southern IOW W4/W14 ‘Bembridge’). Now happily preserved by our friends The Terrier Trust, at that other great ‘Terrier’ haunt the Kent & East Sussex Railway. Where only a few weeks ago I enjoyed a ride behind her as part of their HB50 commemoration

The loco number appears to be ‘32676’, which corresponds to LBSCR 76 ‘Hailsham’, the Wikipedia entry for which reads………..
