An interesting study of the station at the turn of the century. The platform, built on wooden piles, looks terribly uneven. Photo, courtesy of Roger Nash (Grandson of Samuel Walder. See article).
Langston Station with Terrier approaching circa 1900-1914 from the Roger Nash collection.

The platform was later replaced with a concrete one. You can see the roof of the “Railway Cottages”,built as a pair of 18th century labourers’ cottages and still standing. The dwellings are listed and in the process of having some restoration work done on them, in collaboration with HBC’s Conservation officer.
