In 1979 following its sojourn on a plinth outside of the ‘Hayling Billy’ public house, ‘Terrier’ No:46 ‘Newington’ was donated by its owners Brickwoods Brewery, to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway at Havenstreet. Where returned to full working order and resplendent in the Southern Railway’s ‘Maunsell’ olive green livery, as their No: W8 ‘Freshwater’. It can be seen about to depart for Wootton with a modified South Eastern & Chatham Railway carriage in tow. (Photo by Ian Edwards).
