Coach S1000S in preservation

The first coach seen in the train is the unique S1000S which spent part of its short service life working on the Hayling Billy in 1963. Seen here at Cranmore, East Somerset Railway on 21st June 2008.     Thanks for your contribution here and your link to the ESR with the detailed history of this unique coach. It is wonderful to see how much of our heritage survives through the efforts of preservationists.
